Raw Access Logs

Raw Access Logs

Using the raw access logs, you will be able to see who has accessed your site without using graphics or charts. You can also download a zipped copy of the access log. This is a quick method to determine who is viewing your site quickly. Zipped access logs are also useful when you want to share your website statistics without sharing your cPanel login information.

Downloading Raw Access Logs

  1. In cPanel, click the "Raw Access" icon underneath the "Metrics" heading.
  2. Select the domain or subdomain that you would like to see logs for.
  3. Select "Save".
  4. Extract the downloaded .gz with WinZip or your preferred zip extractor.
  5. The log can be viewed in any text reader, such as MS Word or WordPad.
  6. If you wish to use a third party web statistics analysis tool, you can use this log file.
