Uploading Files Through cPanel's File Manager

cPanel's File Manager makes it easy to upload files under 500 MB, such as site backups.

  1. Navigate to the "File Manager" in your cPanel account.
  2. Choose "Web Root" and "Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)", and click "Go".
  3. Select the folder that you would like to upload files into, and click "Upload".
  4. Select "Browse" or "Choose File", whichever your version shows.
  5. Find and select the file to be uploaded. The upload will begin when you have selected it.
