Changing Document Roots
The document root can be adjusted for Addon Domains and Subdomains by following these steps. The primary domain name will always be assigned to "public_html" as this is required for cPanel to function correctly.
How to Change the Document Root for Addon or Subdomains
- Ensure you have an up-to-date full site backup before proceeding.
- In cPanel, under "Domains", click the "Domains" icon.
- Click the "Manage" next to the domain you wish to edit.
- Enter the new document root under the "New Document Root" heading.
- Click "Update".
