Unable to View Mail Folders

If you are unable to see your mail folders on your mail client, you will need to subscribe to them again to remedy this.



In Entourage

  1. Choose the account on the left side to view available IMAP folders.
  2. Select "Update List"
  3. Open the View menu, and make sure "Subscribed Only" is unchecked.

In Eudora

  1. Click the "Window" menu, then choose "Mailboxes".
  2. Select the "expand arrow" (the triangle) ti the left of the email account to see its IMAP servers.
  3. Select "Refresh Mailbox List" on the popup menu from the bottom right of the mailbox list.

In Horde

  1. Select the "Folders" icon.
  2. Select "Rebuild Folder Tree" from the drop-down box.
  3. Select "Check Folders for New Mail".

On iPhone and iPod Touch

  1. Select "Settings", "Mail", "Account", "Advanced", "IMAP Path Prefix".
  2. Enter the word "INBOX"
  3. Select "Save".

In Mac OS X Mail Client

  1. Select "Mail", "Preferences", "Accounts".
  2. Choose your email account, select the "Advanced" tab.
  3. Checkmark the box next to "Automatically synchronize changed mailboxes".
  4. Close the panel and select "Save".
  5. Restart the mail client.

In Microsoft Outlook Express

  1. Find "Folders" on the left side of Outlook, and choose the inbox for the email account you are trying to fix.
  2. Select "Tools", then "IMAP Folders".
  3. Pick the folders you would like to display.
  4. Select "Show".
  5. Select "OK".

In Roundcube

  1. Select "Settings".
  2. Select "Folders".
  3. Checkmark the boxes next to the folders you would like to display and sync.

In Thunderbird

  1. Select "Files", then "Subscribe".
  2. Select the folders you would like to display.
  3. Select "Subscribe".
  4. Click "OK".

In Windows Live Mail

  1. In "Account Properties", select the "IMAP" tab.
  2. Check mark "Check new messages in all folders" and "Store special folders on IMAP server".
  3. The correct paths for the folders are their names. For the Inbox, the path is "Inbox", for Drafts, "Drafts", and so on.

In Windows Mail

  1. Select "IMAP Folders"
  2. In the "Show/Hide IMAP Folders" dialog box, choose a folder.
  3. To view and download the folder and its contents, select "Show". If you wish to hide the folder and for the mail client to not download the contents, select "Hide".
