Disabling Anonymous FTP

Disabling Anonymous FTP

We do not recommend ever allowing anonymous FTP connections, as it represents an enormous security risk. It is turned off by default.

How to Disable Anonymous FTP Connections

  1. In cPanel, find the Files section.
  2. Select the "Anonymous FTP" icon.
  3. Uncheck the boxes allowing anonymous uploads and anonymous access.
  4. Select "Save Settings".
