Using phpMyAdmin you can change the collation of databases.
- In cPanel, click the phpMyAdmin icon.
- Choose the database you wish the alter from the dropdown menu.
- Select the "Operations" tab.
- Find the collation option. You can change the collation from the dropdown menu.
Note: This will only affect new tables created after the collation change. To get around this problem, re-install or edit old tables and their fields. Anything installed will pick up the new collation.
