Flushing your DNS will clear out your cached DNS records on your computer, forcing the computer to look for the DNS records on the internet.

Windows 8

Close any applications you're working with that might access the internet before you begin.

1. Press the Windows Logo key and R key at the same time. The "Run" dialogue box will appear.
2. Type "cmd" into the window.
3. Type "ipconfig /flushdns"
4. Restart the application you were using.

Windows 7 & Windows Vista

Close any applications you're working with that might access the internet before you begin.

1. Click the Start button, then mouseover "All Programs", then "Accessories". Find "Command Prompt".
2. Right click on "Command Prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator".
   
3. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" at the command prompt.
4. Restart the application(s) you were working with.

Windows XP

Close any applications you're working with that might access the internet before you begin.

1. Click the Start button, then "Run".
2. Type "cmd" into the window.
3. Type "ipconfig /flushdns".
4. Restart the application(s) you were working with.
