If you registered a domain through NixiHost and need to configure DNS records, an active hosting package is required. We provide DNS management through the cPanel interface included with our shared hosting plans.
1. Select a Hosting Package
You can purchase a hosting package at NixiHost Shared Hosting. The plan you select determines how many domains you can manage. Domain limit and other specifications are listed alongside each plan.
2. Initial Setup and Nameservers
The domain you enter as the primary domain during the checkout process will be automatically configured in your new cPanel account. After your hosting plan is set up, you will receive a welcome email containing your assigned nameservers.
If your domain is registered with NixiHost, our support team can update your nameservers for you. Submit a support ticket requesting a nameserver update from your Client Area.
3. Managing DNS Records
Once your hosting is active and your domain is pointing to your assigned nameservers, you can manage your DNS records using the Zone Editor tool located inside cPanel.
4. Configuring Additional Domains
If you selected a Basic or Professional plan and need to manage DNS for multiple domains, those extra domains must be added to your cPanel account first. You can do this by setting them up as Addon Domains. Review our guide on Creating or Removing an Addon Domain for step-by-step instructions.
