WordPress: Installing Themes

With WordPress you're able to change the way your blog looks through themes. You can download custom themes made by users, or you can select from a list of themes provided with your standard WordPress install.







Using the Dashboard to Find Themes

  1. Log into the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Select "Appearance" and then "Themes" from the left side menu.
  3. Select "Install Themes" from the top of the screen.
  4. Search or browse through the themes. Install your choice.



Installing a Downloaded Theme

  1. Log into the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Choose "Appearance", then "Themes" from the left side menu.
  3. Select "Install Themes".
  4. Select "Upload", then "Browse". Find the theme on your computer. It will be in a .zip format.
  5. Select "Install Now".
  6. Select "Activate".
