WordPress: Changing Your Domain

If you have just moved your WordPress content to a new domain, or you are having issues related to the domain name configuration in your WordPress databse, this guide will help you to set the proper domain name.




  1. While logged into cPanel, select the "phpMyAdmin" icon.
  2. On the left side of the screen, find the database associated with your WordPress install and select it.
  3. Select "wp_options" from the left side of the screen.
  4. Find the 'siteurl' line, and click "Edit".
  5. Enter the correct domain name.
  6. Click "Go".
