While databases must be created in cPanel, phpMyAdmin is able to drop databases, manage keys on fields, export data, execute SQL statements, add/edit/delete fields, and create/alter/drop tables.
- Log in to cPanel.
- Under the "Databases" section, click "phpMyAdmin".
Common Errors and Problems
- You cannot access a database through a dependent panel's phpMyAdmin while logged into WHM. You must log out of root and log in to the individual cPanel to access a database with phpMyAdmin. If you are a root user in WHM, you can use the phpMyAdmin tool in WHM (under "MySQL").
- #2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured). Please submit a ticket.
- Tables missing. No tables found in the database! Ensure that the database in question does have tables. If you generated tables with the MySQL Databases tool in cPanel, they will be empty. If the databases's tables are present but not visible, refresh the screen.
- phpMyAdmin shows a login screen when you try to use it. This means your cPanel and MySQL passwords are no longer synced. To fix this, change you cPanel password.
