If you've forgotten your administrative password for your osCommerce site, you can reset the password this way.
- In cPanel, click "phpMyAdmin".
- Find the osCommerce database in the menu on the left side of the page. It is probably named "_osc1", and click it.
- Select the table on the left side of the page named "Administrators".
- For for the tab called "Empty" and select it.
- When you are asked "Do you really want to TRUNCATE TABLE 'administrators'?", click OK.
- Navigate to your osCommerce site, and try to log in to the administrative area. You will get a message that there is no user.
- Enter the user name and password that you wish to use, and click "Login".
- The name and password you entered will now be the administrative login.
