Some cPanel usernames will need to be updated in order to comply with mandatory security measures for newer MySQL versions. The process of updating your cPanel password is quick and easy, following this short guide:
- Log in to cPanel
- Click "Change Password" underneath the "Preferences" heading
- You can set your password to something new, then change it back to your original password if you would prefer to keep using your original password.
Once a 'new' password has been saved, the password will be hashed with the newer, more secure process.
