Wildcard Subdomains Print

cPanel now offers support for wildcard subdomains. You can set up a wildcard subdomain following this quick guide:

 

1. Log in cPanel.
2. Click "Domains".
3. Click "Create A New Domain"
4. Enter the wildcard subdomain in the "Domain" field (*.yourdomain.com for example).
5. If you do not like the suggested document root, you can edit the "Document Root" field, or leave it as is.
6. Click "Submit".

To confirm that your wildcard subdomain was created, you can navigate back to cPanel's main page and select the "Zone Editor", then click "Manage" next to your domain and confirm the presence of a wildcard A record.
