Adding Addon Domain Error: domainadmin-domainexistsglobal

If you are receiving this error:

  • domainadmin-domainexistsglobal

This can be caused by a pre-existing DNS record or domain. Verify the DNS zone of the primary domain to find out if there is already a DNS record for the addon domain or subdomain that you are trying to add.

  • If a DNS record already exists, you will not be able to add a new domain until the record and entries in the DNS zone are removed.
  • If no subdomain exists, but there is a DNS entry, it may be from previous domain management activity. Remove the entry and try adding again.
  • If no DNS record exists, ensure there is not a subdomain related to the same name in your cPanel.
